Silvia Health, the Manchester-based medtech platform embedding structured, guideline-aligned clinical reasoning into menopause care, has appointed The Digital Health Assurance Company, led by Dr Lucy Buckley, to provide formal Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) and governance oversight as the company prepares for NHS collaboration and wider deployment.

About Dr Lucy Buckley
Dr Buckley is a registered Pharmacist and holds a PhD from the University of Manchester. Her career spans academic drug discovery and development, NHS and private sector clinical practice, pharmaceutical industry leadership, and digital health entrepreneurship.
She founded The Digital Health Assurance Company to strengthen quality of care, governance and regulatory readiness across the UK digital health ecosystem. In addition to advising founders and investors, she serves as a Board Advisor within medtech investment portfolios and is a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at The University of Manchester.
Her appointment marks a significant milestone in Silvia Health's evolution from early-stage platform to governance-ready medtech organisation.
Governance for NHS readiness
Silvia Health is building the structured clinical logic layer that supports safer, more consistent menopause consultations in primary care. As the platform prepares for NHS pilot activity, Dr Buckley's team will oversee formal clinical safety management aligned to DCB0129 standards, structured hazard logging and assurance processes consistent with NHS Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC).
