Governance and Clinical Safety in Digital Women's Health
Silvia Health Partners with Digital Health Assurance Specialists
Strong governance is essential for any technology used in healthcare.
As digital tools become more widely used to support consultations, ensuring appropriate clinical safety processes is a key part of responsible development.
Over the past six months Silvia Health has been building a structured governance framework around the Silvia platform.
This work includes hazard logging, documentation of system boundaries and ongoing risk management processes across the assessment workflow.
As part of strengthening this framework, Silvia Health has partnered with The Digital Health Assurance Company, led by Dr Lucy Buckley, to provide clinical safety oversight.
The collaboration supports Silvia Health in implementing governance processes aligned with recognised UK digital health standards. These include structured clinical safety management approaches used within NHS digital systems.
Silvia Lite is designed as a clinician support tool that structures patient-reported information before menopause consultations. It does not provide diagnosis or prescribing recommendations.
As the platform prepares for use in clinical environments, establishing strong governance foundations remains a central focus.
Digital health technologies must earn trust from clinicians, patients and healthcare organisations, and robust safety processes are a key part of that trust.
